You have to have all the items in your inventory, individually place them on your crafting station, click the crafting station, and pick up the item. The crafting system is WAY too complicated for such a casual game. The hammer is never used for anything other than moving single decorations. The Hoe can already till 15 plots at a time on DAY 1, but the Hammer or the Axe's upgrade feels completely useless because as soon as you chop the trunk of the tree, the entire tree falls. The benefits to upgrading the tools feel like they should be akin to Stardew Valley. Only certain tools can be upgraded, but it doesn't even make sense? The hoe can't be upgraded but the Axe can be. Upgrading tools is inconsistent as well. This also calls back to the problem of stack quantities when purchasing seeds from the store. Sprinklers water in a really weird shape, so it makes it difficult to make your space on the farm efficient, especially when your farm is randomly placed on a plateau with hills all around you. This leaves a good amount of clutter in my storage when I'm not using the whole stack. All seeds are in packets of 3, most building materials are in stacks of 5, etc. You can only buy objects in the quantities the game decides to sell. Harvesting is the SLOWEST, the game refuses to interrupt your animation to pick up the next crop. Holding the button down to water crops is the FASTEST watering system of any farming game I've played. There's inconsistencies in animation speed for farming actions. If you make a mistake planting seeds, destroying the seedling plant returns your seeds. Profiting from farming is much higher than expected, it makes it a bit easier to get ahead of the economy. The voxel art is really aesthetically pleasing. You can custom build your animal's enclosures, just like building your own houses! You feel a connection to the animals because they're ADORABLE and have super cute animations when you do something that makes them happy. With a number of quality of life updates, the game could become a real competitor within its market.
